I have to admit that I was a little unsure when I arrived. It was not what I was expecting. It definitely has a 1950's feel to it. After we got checked in and walked around the property I really liked it. The rooms were very comfortable and nice.

We found The Islander on a list of hotels and thought we would take the chance. When we first put in, I was a little put off by the sign because it was clean and bright but looked like some seriously 1950s Keys stuff. I thought "Uh oh, is this place going to be run down?" No way!

Islander Resort has beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, very accommodating. We would highly recommend this hotel.
