Ideally situated at the very end of Duval Street in the middle of Old Town's action, the Westin Key West (formerly the Hilton) is a prime spot from which to enjoy sunsets as well as that hard-to-find, quietly elegant ambience that's so lacking in most big resorts here. The rooms are large and well appointed, with all the modern conveniences and that Westin signature Heavenly Bed. Choose a suite in the main building if you want a Jacuzzi in your living room. Otherwise, the marina building has great views. The secluded beach is great for an escape from the Duval Street frenzy. For $20 per person, you can also enjoy the Westin's private Sunset Key beach, accessible only by the hotel's launch at the marina. Bistro 245, the elegant dining room, serves ample breakfasts and a huge Sunday brunch.

My husband and I stayed at The Westin Key West Resort & Marina from 4/10/11-4/12/11. We used points to book our stay in a Traditional room and were graciously upgraded to a Deluxe Ocean Front room. What a view! (We stayed in the main building.) Warning: The Ocean Front room had a fabulous view...until a cruise ship docks literally right.

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi at the Westin, we began a perfect vacation in the Keys! We were checked in by Taillon (spelling?), who was friendly, personable and so welcoming! We arrived before check in and he found us a room we could get into without having to wait until 3pm.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and must say it was great. Room was clean, staff great, but best of all is the location. Sunset was something else. Would recommend this hotel for sure.
